As I conclude the vast subject about Chakras let's take a look at the final two essential Chakras namely the Third Eye Chakra ( Ajna) and The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) respectively.
The Third Eye Chakra- Ajna
Located on the forehead between the eyebrows this is the sixth chakra. This is the centre of your intuition and foresight. It brings about one’s awareness of the subconscious mind seeking answers from their inner self. Many intuitive readers use this medium for clearer communication.
When Blocked :
Ask yourself -
- Do you face difficulty in concentration?
- Are you sensitive to light?
- Do you have sleep disorders such as insomnia?
- Are You being paranoid?
- Do you hallucinate?
When blocked it can lead to physical symptoms such as headaches, dizziness lack of concentration and seizures.
How To Unblock It:
Establish a sleeping pattern making sure that you get at least a minimum of seven hours sleep.
Stay away from distractions such as TV or mobile phones.
Stay away from processed foods. Eat healthy. Go for vegetables and fruits.
Sharpen Your intuition.
I usually sit silently every day at least for an hour, as the need to disconnect from everything is essential.
Too much media download can be very chaotic to the brain. I put my phone on flight mode to stay away from any source of media.
Try this exercise for a week, keep anything that gives you an overload of information away from you at least for an hour. Notice the difference.
Crystals to align the Third Eye Chakra
Amethyst is a beautiful crystal which I use during meditation. It gives me a sense of calmness and composure and awakens my intuition. Now let's take a look at some of the beautiful crystals which also help to balance the third eye chakra below.
- Lapis lazuli
Essential Oils to align the Third Eye Chakra
I dab a few drops of Lavender oil just above my eyebrows at the center of my forehead. It has a mild scent that brings about a feeling of relaxation. Below are some oils which are highly recommended assist in the balancing of third eye chakra.
- Star Anise
Foods that aid in balancing the Third Eye Chakra
Eating vegetables and fruits which are purple in colour such as Purple Cabbage, Purple Potatoes, Aubergine, Purple Carrot, Purple Grapes, Plums, Blueberries, Blackberries, Figs and Raisins are some good examples of food to help the Third Eye Chakra.
How about trying out this recipe below
Recipe: Aubergine Salad
1 Medium Sized Aubergine
50 gm Feta Cheese
100 gm Purple Cabbage
Salt and Pepper to taste
A Dash of Vinaigrette Dressing
Slice the Aubergine into medium sized round shape.
Shallow fry in oil. Once cooked, put aside drain the oil and add salt and paprika and let it rest.
Chop the Purple Cabbage into fine slices add into a bowl.
Add the chopped Parsley to the cabbage.
Now add to it the mixed herbs, salt, and pepper to taste and a dash of the vinaigrette dressing and mix well.
Dice the Feta Cheese into small cubes and add it to the cabbage and mix well.
Now add the aubergine and give it a good mix.
Lastly add the Croutons.

The Crown Chakra - Sahasrara
This is the seventh chakra located at the top of the head/crown. This chakra gives you the sense of a spiritual connection and transformation. We are all connected to the source or divine light.
Ask Yourself -
Do you constantly have the desire to oversleep?
Do you feel confused?
Feel the lack of inspiration?
This can lead to headaches, poor coordination and even exhaustion.
How To Unblock It:
Try a few of the below techniques:
- Learn to separate what you think from what you feel.
- Read about spiritual guides whom you respect and can connect to.
- Wear violet or white.
- Drink plenty of purified water.
Crystals to align the Crown Chakra
I place selenite as a decor in my meditation room as this crystal dispels off negative energy. You may also try the crystals below.
- Clear Quartz
- Angel Aura Quartz
Essential Oils to align the Crown Chakra
In a diffuser I add Rose and Sandalwood oil. The fragrance is blissful, and can be used while doing Yoga or during meditation.
Also below are some essential oils that can be used too.
- Palo Santo
- Angelica Root
Foods that aid in balancing the Crown Chakra
Anything that is white in colour such as Mushrooms, Coconut, Garlic, Turnips, White Onion, Lychee and Custard Apple Fruit. Try out the following recipe.
Recipe: Mushroom in Coconut Milk
200 gm Mushrooms
500ml Coconut Milk
1 tsp Garlic (chopped finely)
1 White Onion (sliced)
Salt to taste
In a saucepan, add some oil, add the garlic and sauté till the rawness fragrance disappears.
Add the sliced onion and sauté till translucent and add the mushrooms and cook further.
Add the salt and herbs.
Finally add the coconut milk and bring it to a boil. Serve hot with bread rolls.
